BRER Real Estate Marketing Finally! Find Free Photos Fast

If you blog, or need photos for your website or social media sites, finding free photos can be a pain. Take Flickr, for example.

There are tons of great photos on Flickr.? And, some are just perfect for real estate websites and blogs because people have taken photos of the places where they live. So, if you want a photo of a particular park, for example, you just might find it there.? Think of it as the ?hyper-local? photo source.

So, why do people find Flickr frustrating?? Mainly it?s because of the Creative Commons rules.? Have you ever found a photo on Flickr you?d love to use, but you have no idea whether you can??

In the first place, you can?t tell if the photo can be used when you?re looking at the search results.? So, you click on the photo and look over on the right side to see what?s under the License header.? Some things are easy to figure out.? If the license says ?All Rights Reserved?, then you need to go back to the search results to find another one.

But, let?s say you find one where the License indicates Some Rights Reserved.? In my experience, you can very often use the photo if you put an Attribution link on your site.? If you look at the definition of Attribution, here?s what you?ll find:

Attribution ? You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor (but not in any way that suggests that they endorse you or your use of the work).

Maybe it?s just me, but I have never figured out where to find the place where the ?author or licensor? has described the manner in which they want their attribution to be displayed.? I will admit I haven?t spent a lot of time trying to figure it out, so it might be there somewhere.? I just stopped using Flickr as a source.

Now, here comes PhotoPin.com.? You can visit that website, do a search, and when you find a photo you?d like to use, just click the Get Photo link you see when you mouse over the image.

When you do that, you?ll find everything you?ve ever wanted in a Flickr photo.? You can download the photo in a variety of sizes ? everything from 75x75px to 4000px+.? And, the best part is the HTML box you?ll see on the download page.? You just need to copy that code and put it down at the bottom of your blog post.

And, Voila!

The photo you want with the link you need.? That?s finding free photos fast!!
